was elementary school this cool for you?

I remember listening to The Lion King soundtrack and then there was a stint with American Bandstand that featured "Rock Around The Clock" and "Hound Dog." A Beach Boy thrown in here and a Beatle there, we finally rounded out the Elton-education with "Crocodile Rock."

But no one was letting us sing "Lump" in school. Pearl Jam, Nirvana, The Smashing Pumpkins, no way. Besides we were more interested in the f-bombs of Tupac's gangsta rap and the dirty interludes on Doggystyle... but if someone would have just inspired us! We could have been singing choral renditions of "Nightswimming" or The Bends.

See more of the PS22 Choir including Lady Gaga, Empire of the Sun, the theme to The Jeffersons, and yeah, Styx.
